- The American Symphony Orchestra League recognized the
Erie Philharmonic as "one of the finest regional orchestras
in America" at their national conference in June 2004
- Recent awards/recognitions include:
2006 Bracken Award for Excellence in Governance
presented by the Erie Community Foundation
Inaugural "Neighborhood Awards" which were presented
by the Pennsylvania Public Television Network in recognition
of the organization of Erie's first annual Heritage Festival,
September 2005. The award was received jointly with WQLN.
- The orchestra is 93 years old and one of the oldest in
the country.
- The Erie Philharmonic has an operating budget of over
$1 million making it one of the largest arts organizations
in the region.
- Musicians of the Erie Philharmonic have about 600 cumulative
years of experience playing their instruments
- The Philharmonic's fully professional musician roster
